What is a Commision?
A commission is when a person hires an artist to create an art piece for them. The piece would be specific to the buyers requests as well as incorporate the artists original style.
What should I Commision?

To see a few examples of some work I've already done, head over to my Illustration Portfolio. Otherwise, the types of illustration  commissions I am best suited for are:

  • Character Art

    • DnD Characters

    • Your OCs

  • Portraits

  • Fantasy Creatures/Animals

  • Inked Nature Scenes

    • Trees, plants, fungi

  • Skeletons & Bones

  • Tattoo Designs

Is what you're looking for not on that list? Feel free to contact me with questions on my instagram @staringhareart or by filling out the contact form below.

FAQs

How do they Work?

It varies from artist to artist, however generally the client will request a commission at which the artist will decide to accept it or not. After that a contract and payment plan (that holds both artist and client responsible) is created and the artist can begin the illustration process. The artist will check in regularly to make sure the clients vision is fulfilled, before the final piece is submitted and either digitally shared or mailed off.

Things to Consider

Before you inquire about a commission consider first things like:

  • How much are you willing to pay?

  • Do you enjoy my art style?

  • Does my work resonate with what you're looking for?

  • Timeline; how fast do you need it?

If you don't like my style as an artist or are looking to commission a piece which doesn't resonate with the ones I usually accept, it could be worth finding another artist who is better suited to what you're looking for.
